Hi!
I'm interested in becoming involved in a vegan food van or place. Either way it would be 'fast' food, meaning food that's quick to prepare, not necessarily chips and burgers, although i might involve them - i have nothing against them.
As Rocket mentioned in another post, Lord Of The Fries in Melbourne are pretty successful with a similar, albeit vegetarian rather than purely vegan concept.
The advantage of a van would be that it could move around to festivals and places that want food, although it might be more costly initially??
At this stage i'm simply looking - i want to hear ideas and see if any people might want to have a go. I'd be looking at putting some money in, but don't think a 100 grand, it'd be less - small is good, right!?
I'm looking at this purely as an investor and someone with a few ideas, not someone doing the hands on running of the biz.
You'd need to be really into this idea, and into getting the bizness savvy to make the idea work - if you haven't already got it.
Also, i'm solely looking at the Queensland area, between the Gold Coast and Brisbane - maybe south of Brisbane would be good!
So, if you think this might be you, chime in, i'd love to hear what you have to say!
PS You might be interested in having a look at this vegan fast food place in the states (i don't think their claims to be the first vegan fast food place are right, though):
